Food Service

  • Bridgman Schools knows why breakfast is so important. That is why we offer breakfast in all of our schools every day.

Breakfast is a great way to give the body the refueling it needs. Kids who eat breakfast tend to eat healthier overall and are more likely to participate in physical activities — two great ways to help maintain a healthy weight.

Skipping breakfast can make kids feel tired, restless, or irritable. In the morning, their bodies need to refuel for the day ahead after going without food for 8 to 12 hours during sleep. Their mood and energy can drop by mid-morning if they don’t eat at least a small morning meal.

Breakfast can also help keep kids’ weight in check. Breakfast kick-starts the body’s metabolism, the process by which the body converts the fuel in food to energy. And when the metabolism gets moving, the body starts burning calories.

And breakfast is free to all students this year!

Bridgman Elementary School Breakfast served at 7:30 am.
F.C. Reed Middle School Breakfast served at 7:45 am.
Bridgman High School Breakfast served at 7:30 am.

    2023-2024 Meal Update

Meals will be provided for free, but families need to continue sharing household income information for our schools to receive federal and state funding for student programs. The Education Benefit Form replaces the free and reduced application. This new form is more streamlined and easier to fill out.  There are other benefits you can receive based on your income, including reduced cost for AP testing, athletic fees, and Comcast Internet. You can complete the Education Benefit Form at https://bridgman.familyportal.cloud/
