Board of Education

The Bridgman Board of Education utilizes BoardBook (Premier) to offer information to the public.

The Regular Board of Education meetings will be held on the FOURTH Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Bridgman High School in the Media Center (9964 Gast Road, Bridgman). Citizens may address the Board during the Public Comments section on the agenda by completing the blue form available at the meeting and handing it to the Board Secretary prior to the start of the meeting.

**IMMEDIATE SCHOOL BOARD OPENING**
The Bridgman Public Schools Board of Education is accepting applications to fill a  Board vacancy.
Letters of Interest will be accepted until Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Letters should be addressed to the Board Secretary and delivered to the Superintendent's Office at 9964 Gast Road, Bridgman, MI 49106.

To be eligible, an applicant must be a registered voter in the school district, be at least 18, a U.S. citizen, and a Michigan resident for at least 30 days.

Interviews will be conducted during the Board Retreat on Monday, July 13, 2026, at  5:00 p.m. at the Bridgman High School Media Center.

The selected person will serve until the next general election, which is November 2026.

**THREE BOARD VACANCIES ON THE NOVEMBER 2026 BALLOT**
Due to Bridgman Public Schools serving a population of fewer than 10,000 residents, candidates have two options to qualify for the ballot:

  • Submit a nominating petition containing a minimum of 6 valid signatures and not more than 20 signatures, or
  • File a $100 nonrefundable filing fee in lieu of submitting petition signatures.
  • The deadline for nominations is 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026

All individuals filing election-related documents or establishing a campaign finance committee are requested to schedule an appointment in advance.
