Frequently Asked Questions
What is the swim test?
In order to be on the team a swimmer must demonstrate three (3) skills:
1. swim one length (25 yards non-stop) of freestyle using rotary breathing (breathing to the side)
2. swim one length (same) of backstroke alternating arms. 3. complete one length on streamline (arms over head with hands on top of each other) flutter kick on their back.
If a swimmer can do these three skills they would start in our Beginner group. The swim test only takes a few minutes but this is a great time to meet and learn about the program.
