MEAP Update…MEAPs are going well. The class has been coming in ready to go. A big thank you for those who sent in special healthy snacks. The class has loved it!!! Also, thank you for all you are doing at home to help your child do their very best. We will have MEAP Tests on Tuesday, October 19th. Remember to have your child get a Good Night’s Sleep, eat a Healthy Breakfast and have a Calm Morning!
Book It!...It sounds like the class is reading up a storm for Book It! Keep up the reading…Remember…Your child needs to read at least 300 minutes by the end of October and reading their A.R. books count towards the Book It! goal.
Halloween Party…The Halloween Party will be in the afternoon on Thursday, October 28th. The parade will be at 2:00 with our party following. Mrs. Sanderson and Mrs. Staub have volunteered to be our party coordinators. If you did not get a chance to sign up to help and would like to…please send me a note or give me a call. For those of you who did sign up to help, they will be giving you a call. All parents are welcome to attend the parade & party!!!
Parent volunteers in our classroom…I am looking for parents who would like to volunteer in our classroom. There are two opportunities…I would like to have a parent come in on Tuesdays or Thursdays (9:00 – 9:45) to listen to students read OR Tuesday afternoons (2:15 – 3:00) to practice math facts with the students. Please let me know if you are interested (specify the day & time).
Fundraiser Orders & money are due Monday, October 18th.
*Your child needs to be reading 15 minutes a night (5 nights a week) and recording their time on their Book It! Calendar.
Go Bees… Go Bees… Go Bees…Go Bees…Go Bees…Go Bees
Reminder...Wednesdays...Math Facts Timed Test
