You can help your child with this goal by writing at home, keeping a journal, illustrating and labeling their work.
HOUSEKEEPING ISSUES: Please make sure your child brings socks on gym day if they are wearing sandals :) We have a snack time every morning to hold us over until lunch time. Please send a HEALTHY snack, and no drink. We have a drinking fountain in our classroom. Remember to check your child's backpack each night for notes and homework, and return the homework folder the next day.
FRIDAY FOLDERS: Please check your child's Friday Folder EVERY WEEK to see what skills we have been working on. The children are very excited to share with you what they have been learning. The folder needs to be returned on Monday.
How To Help Your Child At Home: 1. Read with your child 2. Practice counting up to 100 and back 3. Practice counting by 2, 5, 10 4. Ask your child to tell you the time throughout the day 5. Keep a journal with your child 6. Look for and read graphs you might find 7. Call out a number and have your child tell how many 100s, 10s, and 1s 8. Help your child read a thermometer each day 9. Practice measuring with an inch and cm ruler 10.Play spelling games |
