Welcome to Mrs. Rantz's 7th Grade Science, Quest, & 8th Grade Pre-Algebra Web Page!
SCIENCE: Each day in science we do a journal entry. On Thursday's the answer needs to be in a complete sentence. 30% of your science grade is based on the journal. Tests & Quizzes are worth 40% of your science grade. I will try and give at least a one day notice of the quizzes and at least a three day notice of the tests. Link to Practice Quizzes Homework is worth 20% of your science grade. Labs are worth 10% of your science grade. I do NOT accept late work. If certain circumstances arise please let me know I will try to accomodate. Tentative Schedule **PARENTS PLEASE NOTE in all 7th grade classes we fill-out their assignment books with them. So, if you want to know what homework was assigned that day, you could look in their assignment book.
PRE-ALGEBRA: Each day in pre-algebra we do a warm-up on the previous day's lesson and then we go over any questions they have on their homework. Tests & Quizzes are worth 30% of your math grade. I will try and give at least a one day notice of the quizzes and at least a three day notice of the tests. Homework is worth 50% of your math grade. Participation is worth 20% of your math grade. Please refer to the eighth grade homework policy concerning late work. If certain circumstances arrise please let me know I will try to accomodate. Link to Practice Quizzes QUEST: In Quest class we discuss teen issues. In seventh grade they will create a brochure on a teen issue topic of their choice. They will also create a poster about their "movie". In eighth grade they will review some of the issues discussed in seventh grade as well as discuss relationships. They will create a DVD using Windows Movie Maker about their "movie". Participation is worth 50% of your Quest grade. Projects are worth 50% of your Quest grade.
