We are so pleased to have an original piece of ceramic work by the mother of a 6th grader at F.C. Reed Middle School. Chandra is a professional ceramic artist who lives and works in our area. Check out her website for some more amazingly beautiful and creative art.
Chandra will visit with our students from time to time to share her ideas. This purchase was made possible by a grant facilitated through the Bridgman Public Library from the Harvery and Virginia Kimmel Philadelphia Foundation for the Arts. This art will be part of the day-to-day school life of our school family. It will be an excellent learning tool about how art can tell stories, inspire imaginative thinking, and create meaning in our lives.
What if.....
What if trees had hearts?
What if fish swam in the soil below ?
What if black birds were only here to protect them?
What happens when the hearts are not nourished and go black?
What happens when the fish go back to the water?
What happens when the black birds fly away, and there is no use for them anymore?
