Reed Middle School Workshop

Here are two lists of the power tools and equipment that can be used to craft wooden or metal projects in the RMS workshop:

Woodworking Power Tools and Equipment

  1. Drill presses (10” with ½” chucks and 8 ” with 3/8” chucks)*
  2. Electric hand drills (3/8” chucks, both right angle (or close quarter) and pistol grip styles)*
  3. Pneumatic brad nailers and staplers
  4. Pneumatic spray gun*
  5. 8” long-bed joiner
  6. 18” planer
  7. 8”x36” gap bed wood lathes
  8. Mini lathes with 7mm mandrels for small (not over 3’’ diameter) turnings
  9. 13” bandsaw
  10. 14” disc and 8”x18” belt sander
  11. 10" SawStop cabinet saw
  12. 10” table saw with crosscut sled and power stock feeder
  13. 12” sliding compound miter saw
  14. 18” scroll saws*
  15.  Saber saw
  16.  Reciprocating Saw
  17.  Routers, plunge and D-handle
  18.  Router table
* Can be used for metalworking operations also

  1. Angle grinder
  2. 48” squaring shears
  3. 22” box and pan brake
  4. 8”x36” engine lathes
  5. Oxy-acetylene torch rig with welding, heating and cutting attachments
  6. 100 amp MIG welder
  7. 150 amp AC arc welders
  8. Resistance spot welder
  9. Horizontal bandsaw
  10. 13” bandsaw
  11. 8” Pedestal grinder
  12.  Buffer (can also be used for plastic)
