March Madness Box Tops 4 Education Collection ** Each grade is competing against each other ** Totals for each grade will be posted weekly The winning class will be served ice cream sandwiches the Friday after spring break! Art in the Community During the month of March, local area business will be hosting Art in the Community. Young Rembrandt's Pastel Class will be starting a session on March 11th. The session will run until May 13th. Tuition is $80.00 and will taught on Thursdays from 2:50 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. Flyers are available in the office. National School Bus Safety Week Poster Contest Prizes: 1st Place $100 Savings Bond 2nd Place $75 Savings Bond 3rd Place $50 Savings Bond A flyer with details and entry blank is available in the office.
Mrs. Carr's advisory will be collecting nonperishable items for a local food bank located at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bridgman. Please bring in any boxed or canned food item, especially peanut butter and cereal. They are also collecting shampoo, toilet paper and toothpaste. The advisory with the most donations will be rewarded with brownies!! All donations will be accepted until March 18th. Girls on Track your first meeting is tonight. We will be meeting at 3:30 p.m. in the RMS Cafeteria. Tuesday, March 9th No School Today Wednesday, March 10th Today for Lunch Sub Sandwiches Academic Adventures meets today from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Girls on Track meets today in the Cafe from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 5th Grade Girls on the Run participants, please turn your transporation permission slips into the office. Congratulations to the Science Olympiad Team. They placed 7th out of 11 schools. Event standings: 1st in Ecology 2nd in Pentathlon 3rd in Ornithology 4th in Bio-Process lab and Meteorology 5th in Compute This Physical Science Lab and Write It/Do It 7th in Battery Buggy, Can’t Judge a Powder, Elevated Bridge, Fossils 8th in Anatomy, Road Scholar, Solar System, and Shock Value 9th in Disease Detective, Dynamic Planet, Science Crime Busters, Trajectory, Wright Stuff 10th in Experimental Design The Brandywine Girls Basketball game on Thursday is cancelled and will not be rescheduled. Thursday, March 11th Today for Lunch Beef Ravioli Reminder the Girls Basketball game vs Brandywine is cancelled. Congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade Band. They received a 2 rating at Festival yesterday. The Young Rembrants Pastel Class begins today after school in the Art Room. The food drive ends on March 18th.
