Congratulations to Paige Belanger, BHS Student of the Month for January!!!   Also congratulations to the following students who were also nominated:  Karissa Steffens, Alyssa Krynicky, Cheyenne Schmidt, Adam Klug, Dominic Milano, Jackson Kamp and Jesslyna Bowden.

Bridgman High School will host its annual Financial Aid Night for parents on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 @ 7:00 p.m. in the high school media center.  Anne Tews, director of financial aid from Lake Michigan College will present.  All Bridgman parents are invited to attend.

Bridgman High School will offer an ACT prep course for juniors and seniors on Saturday, February 4th and Saturday, February 11th from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon.  The cost is $60.00 and includes a copy of the ACT Prep Book.  Mrs. Sarah Conklin and Mrs. Kim Lundin will teach the course.  Contact the high school guidance office at 269-466-0225 to register.

Pre-sale tickets for tonight’s game will be on sale during lunches only.

Have you bought a new car? Are you driving a different car? Don’t forget you need to buy your parking sticker in the office ASAP.

Congratulations to the Winterfest Court of 2012. Please be at the high school at 6:50 in casual dress. Any questions talk to Dominic Milano. The court is Allison Boughner, Lindsey Lowery, Macy Koziel, Allison Poschke, Rachel Stemm, Zach Mills, Robert Tofil, Nick Quardokus, Max Miller and Adam Klug.

This is just a reminder to everyone participating in the traveling pep assembly. Please be in the commons at 12:40 for roll call. Plan accordingly with your teachers.

The Varsity Girl's basketball team lost to #1 state ranked Brandywine last night 38 to 53. Sam Wagner and Niki Strefling lead us in rebounds and Lindsay led us in assist. The girls played very hard. The Bees next game is Monday at home vs. Buchanan.

The Science Olympiad meeting for today had to be canceled. There will be a meeting after school next Monday at RMS. See you there!

As scheduled due to the Super Bowl there will not be open gym or Intramurals this Sunday. Intramurals are scheduled for Monday at 3:30 at RMS.

Your Swimming & Diving Team defeated Mattawan last night 109-76. Casey Bicker was a quadruple winner, Nick Beyer and Max Miller were triple winners. Other top scorers were: Logan Pitts, Vlad Bower, Ryan Bicker and Derek Wise. Matt Kiewel and Matt Starkey were 2nd and 3rd in diving.

Bridgman Schools are now partners with united dairy and the National Football league in the fuel up to play 60 challenge. Sign in and take the pledge to be active for 60 minutes a day. Watch your rewards add up, get healthy and get prizes! For more information see Mrs. Ferguson.

Seniors, remember your Senior shirt order from and money are due to Mrs. Kreitner by Tuesday, Feb. 7th.

Any potential senior track athlete interested in the rotary track scholarship should visit the guidance webpage for application information. You can also see Mr. Norton for a hard copy of the information.

Sign ups for girls tennis team are in the office! Join us on the courts for a fun season!

Senior athletes, the Fruitbelt officials association is offering two, $500 scholarships to area athletes. If you are interested in applying, more information is available on the scholarship portion of the BHS guidance website. Deadline for applications is March 1.

Seniors and their parents who would like help completing their FAFSA can attend College Goal Sunday at Lake Michigan College on Sunday, February 12th from 2pm-4pm. LMC is offering services to students and their parents to help them complete the FAFSA.

Today’s lunch is grilled chicken sandwich, tator tots, and fruit. Monday’s breakfast will be frudel, sausage and fruit
