Biography
I do believe
that there was indoor plumbing, electricity, and television when
I graduated from high school many moons ago. I graduated from Carrollton High in
June of 1966. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in
September of 1970 from Central Michigan University. While
teaching in Niles, I attended Indiana University at South Bend
and completed a Master of Science in Education in August of 1978. During
my twenty years of teaching grades three through six, a decision
was made to work on an administrative license. Since 1991,
I have been an elementary principal with my last six years employed
by the Bridgman Public Schools.
Safety
Procedures at BES are meant to prepare students in the case of
a real emergency.
- Fire Drills are conducted six times a year with weather permitting.
- Safety Drills are held twice a year, in
the fall and spring. These
drills are for internal or external threats to the building.
- Storm/Severe Weather Drills are also held in the fall and spring
of every school year.
The BES
School Day
- 8:00 The main doors open
of early arriving students.
- 8:15 All the students
enter the building.
- 8:25 The tardy bell begins
to ring.
- 3:32 The office begins
the intercom dismissal process.
- 3:35 The bell rings to
indicate the end of the day
The BES Handbook is
also on the web and answers many generic questions related to building
policies and expectations. |
